This policy explains what information the SageTech Android app and the sageteche.com website (together, “SageTech”) collect, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. SageTech is developed and run by Chanda Fungamwango Mark, trading as SageTech, Nchelenge, Luapula Province, Zambia (“we”, “us”).
The Android app shows the same website, sageteche.com, inside the app, so this one policy covers both.
1. Using SageTech without an account
You can read posts, listen to music, watch videos, use the dictionaries and most Sage Tools without creating an account. We then only receive the technical information described in section 2 (“Device and usage information”). Files you convert with Sage Tools (image, audio, video and document converters) are processed on your own phone and are not uploaded to us.

3. Permissions used by the Android app
The app asks for a permission only when you first use the feature that needs it. You can refuse, and you can change your choice at any time in your phone's Settings → Apps → SageTech → Permissions.

The app does not read your contacts, call log or SMS, and does not use your phone's advertising ID.
4. Advertising
SageTech is free and shows ads. Ads come from the ad networks Adsterra and Monetag, and from creators who monetise their own posts. When an ad is shown or tapped, the ad network may collect your IP address (which gives an approximate location), information about your device and browser, and how you interact with the ad, to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, under its own privacy policy. Tapping some parts of a page may open an advertiser's page in a separate tab.
5. Services that process information for us
- Cloudflare – hosts the website, database and uploaded files, runs Sage AI (Workers AI), and provides privacy-friendly visitor statistics (Web Analytics).
- Resend – sends verification, password reset and notification emails.
- Google Translate – text you translate, and Sage AI answers shown in another language, are sent to Google to be translated.
- ResponsiveVoice – text you choose to have read aloud may be sent to ResponsiveVoice to be spoken.
- Lipila and mobile money operators (Airtel, MTN, Zamtel) – process payments, deposits and withdrawals.
- Web push services (for example Google's) – deliver notifications on the website if you allow them.
- Adsterra, Monetag and other ad partners – advertising, as described above.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. What other users can see
Your username, profile picture, bio, points, level, posts, comments, likes and followers are public. Your Dating profile is visible to other Dating users. Messages are visible only to you and the people you message. Your email address, phone number, NRC number, date of birth and exact location are never shown publicly. The other person in an active task can see your live location while the task is under way.
7. Security
All information is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as secure hashes, never as readable text.
8. Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your account and content while your account exists. You can delete your own posts and comments at any time in the app. You can ask us to delete your account and all of its data at any time — see how to delete your account. Payment, wallet and task payment records may be kept for as long as the law requires for accounting, tax and fraud prevention, and are then deleted.
9. Your choices and rights
- See and correct your profile at any time in the app.
- Turn off location, camera, microphone or notification permissions in your phone's settings.
- Ask for a copy of your information, or for any of it to be corrected or deleted, by contacting us (section 12).
10. Children
SageTech is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Dating is only for users aged 18 and over. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Important changes will also be announced on SageTech.
